The friend who lost her baby at almost five months--she went in one day for a routine appointment and ultrasound. They couldn't find a heartbeat. Her body didn't go into labor on its own, so she had to be induced on Friday. Yesterday she, her husband and children buried little Gabrielle. My friend who lost her baby at seven months--Saturday she went into labor. Obviously worried since she was early, she and her husband rushed to the hospital. Upon arrival, the doctors couldn't find a heartbeat. They performed an emergency C-section but the baby was not alive when they got in. She and her husband buried their first child, Eli Joseph, this morning. And my friend who lost her mother--she was diagnosed earlier this year with breast cancer, again. Monday morning, she was rushed her to the hospital. By that afternoon, she had passed away. Her mother will be buried Saturday morning. Three grieving friends. Two lives lost before they even had a chance.

Then comes life--since Sunday, we've had two friends who have given birth!! Liberty Elizabeth came into the world Sunday evening and Emily Grace entered the world this morning. Welcome to the world, little ones. You've both been born to incredible people, who I know will be even more incredible as parents. The world can be a scary place at times. But your parents will guide you through the world, if you only let them. I look forward to meeting you both and watching you grow.
